The Sovereign String Ensemble

The Sovereign String Ensemble are highly professional musicians who have earned BA Hons degrees from the Guildhall school and Royal College of Music.

Over the past eleven years Sonya Fairbairn has lead several west end shows including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Secret Garden as well as performing in classical recital and rock and pop situations, most recently the re-launch of Take That at Abbey Road for BBC Radio Two. Cellist Sonia Hammond regularly performs solo recitals, touring Europe and beyond, as well as writing music for theatre and cabaret.

Together they are recognised for dynamic and charismatic performances at hundreds of events, mostly in the major London hotels and venues and they combine their experience and repertoire to create the right ambience to enhance any occasion. Sovereign’s repertoire features a wide selection of classical and operatic favourites together with show tunes and jazz standards - there is something to please everyone. Sovereign will also endeavour to cater for their clients’ special requests.

Sovereign are available as a duo or quartet, depending on your requirements, space available and budget.
