James O'Carroll Big BandThis eighteen-piece big band's repertoire spans fifty years of big band music. However, we specialise in the sounds of the great dance bands of the forties and fifties, and are fortunate to have many arrangements from the pads of such bands as the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Ted Heath, Woody Hermann and the Geraldo Orchestra. The James O’Carroll Big Band is available for any occasion including - Weddings, Parties, Corporate Events, Charity Balls, Launch Parties, Fund Raising Events to name just a few.
RepertoireRepertoire covered includes numbers by Count Basie and Duke Ellington. A large vocal pad of popular songs sung by Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jnr, Bobby Darin and Dean Martin adds to this diverse selection. All the tunes are popular melodies, many of which were written for broadcast and some of which never having been recorded. Requests are more than welcome.
